Use Our Platform Responsibly

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using TalentAvatar's platform. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the standards of acceptable behavior for users of TalentAvatar's website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). This AUP is designed to protect our users, our Platform, and the broader internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities.

This AUP is incorporated into and is part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the Platform.

2. General Acceptable Use

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these guidelines. You agree to use the Platform in a manner that:

  • Complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
  • Respects the rights and dignity of others
  • Does not harm or exploit minors in any way
  • Does not interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers/networks connected to it
  • Maintains the security and integrity of the Platform

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using the Platform:

  • Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Contains sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Exploits or harms minors in any way
  • Violates privacy rights or contains unauthorized personal information of others
  • Is spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited commercial communications

3.3 Fraudulent Activity

  • Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Creating fake accounts or profiles
  • Impersonating another person or entity
  • Payment fraud or chargebacks abuse
  • Manipulating or gaming the Platform's features
  • Creating or submitting fabricated resumes or credentials

3.4 Security Violations

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, user accounts, or systems
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Platform
  • Breaching or circumventing authentication or security measures
  • Accessing or searching the Platform by any automated means (bots, scrapers, spiders)
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Platform
  • Interfering with the proper functioning of the Platform
  • Launching denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks

3.5 Abuse of Service

  • Using the Platform in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it
  • Excessive use of API calls or system resources
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or limitations
  • Sharing account credentials with others
  • Using the Platform to develop competing services
  • Reselling or redistributing access to the Platform without authorization

3.6 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copying, reproducing, or distributing Platform content without permission
  • Using TalentAvatar trademarks, logos, or branding without authorization
  • Removing or altering copyright notices or proprietary markings
  • Uploading content that infringes on others' copyright, trademark, or other IP rights

3.7 Data Mining and Scraping

  • Using automated tools to extract data from the Platform
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting information from the Platform
  • Collecting user information without consent
  • Building databases or datasets from Platform content

3.8 Harassment and Abuse

  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users or staff
  • Sending unsolicited messages or spam to other users
  • Stalking or persistently contacting others against their wishes
  • Publishing private information about others without consent (doxxing)
  • Creating a hostile environment for other users

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Content Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for any content you upload to the Platform, including:

  • Resumes and CV documents
  • Profile information
  • Messages and communications
  • Feedback and reviews

4.2 Content Standards

All user-generated content must:

  • Be accurate and truthful (especially in resumes and professional profiles)
  • Not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Not contain malicious code or harmful elements
  • Not include confidential information belonging to others
  • Be appropriate for a professional platform

4.3 Resume and Profile Content

When creating resumes and professional profiles:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information about your experience and qualifications
  • Do not fabricate employment history, education, or credentials
  • Do not include confidential information from previous employers
  • Respect the intellectual property of others (e.g., don't claim others' work as your own)
  • Use appropriate language and maintain professionalism

5. AI Service Use

5.1 Responsible AI Usage

When using our AI-powered features:

  • Do not attempt to manipulate, trick, or abuse the AI system
  • Do not use the AI to generate inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content
  • Do not attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the AI models
  • Understand that AI responses are for informational purposes and may contain errors
  • Do not rely solely on AI advice for critical career decisions

5.2 AI Interaction Guidelines

  • Ask genuine career-related questions appropriate to the service
  • Do not attempt to jailbreak or bypass AI safety measures
  • Do not use AI services to generate spam or automated content
  • Report any AI behavior that seems inappropriate or harmful

6. Account Security and Access

6.1 Your Responsibilities

You must:

  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches
  • Not share your account with others
  • Log out from shared or public devices

6.2 Account Restrictions

  • Each person may only create one account unless explicitly authorized
  • Accounts are non-transferable
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
  • Business accounts must be authorized by the organization

7. Payment and Subscription Conduct

7.1 Payment Integrity

  • Provide accurate and current payment information
  • Do not use fraudulent payment methods
  • Do not abuse free trials or promotional offers
  • Do not file false chargebacks or payment disputes
  • Pay all fees when due

7.2 Subscription Abuse

  • Do not repeatedly create and cancel accounts to access free trials
  • Do not share subscription access with unauthorized users
  • Do not circumvent payment requirements

8. Professional Conduct

As a career-focused platform, we expect professional behavior:

  • Maintain honesty and integrity in all interactions
  • Treat other users, staff, and support personnel with respect
  • Provide constructive feedback and criticism
  • Respect cultural differences and diverse backgrounds
  • Use appropriate, professional language

9. Reporting Violations

Please report:

  • Suspicious or malicious activity
  • Security vulnerabilities

9.3 False Reports

Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of this AUP and may result in account suspension or termination.

10. Enforcement and Consequences

10.1 Investigation

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. We may:

  • Review user accounts and content
  • Monitor usage patterns
  • Request additional information from users
  • Cooperate with law enforcement
  • Preserve evidence of violations

10.2 Actions We May Take

If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take actions including but not limited to:

  • Warning: Issue a formal warning
  • Content Removal: Remove or disable access to violating content
  • Feature Restriction: Limit access to certain Platform features
  • Account Suspension: Temporarily suspend your account
  • Account Termination: Permanently terminate your account and access
  • Legal Action: Pursue legal remedies for serious violations
  • Law Enforcement: Report illegal activities to appropriate authorities

10.3 No Refunds

Violations of this AUP may result in immediate termination without refund of any fees paid.

11. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in investigating suspected criminal violations. We may disclose information about you to law enforcement as required by law or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect our rights and property
  • Protect the safety of our users or the public
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing

12. No Monitoring Obligation

While we have the right to monitor use of the Platform and enforce this AUP, we are not obligated to do so. We do not pre-screen user content and are not responsible for content uploaded by users. However, we reserve the right to remove any content that violates this AUP.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will:

  • Post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
  • Notify you of material changes via email or platform notification
  • Provide reasonable notice before changes take effect

Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.

14. Severability

If any provision of this AUP is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
